The National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior, has set up a Life Advisory Service Hotline for Foreigners in Taiwan (the Hotline),  providing foreigners who plan to arrive in Taiwan soon or are living in Taiwan with real-time, up-to-date, and complete life consultation services in seven languages: Chinese, English, Japanese, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesian, Thai, and Cambodian. The Hotline number was changed to 1990 on March 1, 2022 to make it easier to remember. From March 1 to June 30, the original number 0800-024-111 and new number 1990 will both be operational. After July 1, the old number will not be in service.
