Foreigners who have obtained permanent residency, government employees who are stationed overseas and their Taiwanese dependants, R.O.C. nationals whose spouses are from China, Hong Kong, Macao, or other foreign countries that have obtained a residence permit, and foreigners who have an Alien Permanent Resident Certificate who also pay taxes regularly as does a Taiwanese national are eligible to receive NT$6,000 in tax surplus. To share the economic achievements with more families, those who were or are going to be born in Taiwan before the end of 2023, have a R.O.C. Taiwan birth certificate, and whose biological father or mother is eligible to receive the remittance are included in the rebate plan as well. Please register for the cash remittance online via the official website https://pro.6000.gov.tw/index_en.html and provide bank account details from March 22 to October 31, 2023. From March 22 to March 26, 2023, registration is split according to the last 2 digit numbers of the R.O.C. national ID card or the residency certificate. After March 27, every national can register online regardless of last 2 digit numbers. The cash remittance will be paid into the designated bank account after April 6. Those who register after April 6 will receive payment to the designated account within two business days after registration. The methods of cash remittance other than online registration are: ATM Cash Withdrawl: From April 10 to October 31, 2023, the payment may be withdrawn from ATM machines of designated financial institutions (post offices included). Post office Cash Withdrawal: From April 17 to October 31, 2023, collect the payment from a post office counter within business hours. Direct Remittance: Citizens who already receive government subsides or pensions, will receive their payment directly to their designated account through existing allocation channels on April 6, 2023. If the payment is not made to the designated account, collect the payment through another channel listed in this notice.
