  • UpdateDate: 2023.04.27
To strengthen emergency assistance services for Taiwanese nationals traveling to China, the Mainland Affairs Council has opened the National Immigration Dynamics Registration System (https://www.mac.gov.tw) on its official website. Taiwanese nationals traveling to China for various reasons can use site to register their personal information and contact details before departure. This will enable the government to contact them promptly and provide necessary assistance and services in case of emergency during their stay in China. The personal safety of Taiwanese nationals traveling abroad is of great concern to the government. The public is urged to use the respective National Immigration Dynamics Registration System when traveling to China, Hong Kong, or Macao to facilitate timely government contact and assistance. In case of an emergency in China, you can directly call a dedicated emergency service hotline operated by the Strait Exchange Foundation (02-25339995). In case of an emergency in Hong Kong or Macao, the 24-hour emergency contact numbers for the Mainland Affairs Council Hong Kong office (852-6143-9012) and Macao office (853-6687-2557) are available to obtain relevant information and services.
