The New
Immigrants Family Service Center of Miaoli County is holding the "2023 New
Immigrants Family Service Center of Miaoli County – Simple Housework Instructor
Training Course for New Immigrants" at Pâtisserie Tommy and Shuiyuan Village
Acitivity Center on September 3, 9, and 10. New immigrants of Miaoli County are
welcome to participate in the training course.
After
new immigrants arrive in Taiwan, they may face culture shock, difficulties adaptating
to the environment and climate, language barriers, and differences in diet. The
differences in language and diet often make it hard for new immigrants to
integrate into their in-law's family, which may cause misunderstandings and
nutritional issues in children, therefore affecting the whole family.
Due to
different ethnic and cultural backgrounds, to facilitate new immigrants in
adapting and integrating into a new lifestyle as early as possible and
strengthen new immigrant families' parenting abilities, the New Immigrant Family
Service Center of Miaoli County is holding the "Simple Housework Instructor
Training" event, covering simple cooking, laundry, and residence cleaning,
aimed at new immigrants who have been living in Taiwan for a while to
participate in the training course to assist new immigrants who have not yet
adapted to life in Taiwan. The training course aims to reduce the gap between
new immigrants who arrived in Taiwan recently and their new families.
The
course includes professional ethics and responsibility of instructors,
communication skills, understanding of the Children and Youth Protection Law, an
introduction to and application of parent education concepts and skills, family
resource integration and management, healthcare and basic nutrition, home-cooked
dishes practice, and cooking skills, etc.
We
sincerely invite new immigrants to participate in the training and sign up for
the course. The number of places is limited. Please call 037-277115 or
037-277117 for enquiries and sign-up details.
