  • UpdateDate: 2025.02.24

To enhance the employment skills of new immigrant women, strengthen their social adaptability, and support their journey toward economic independence, the Miaoli County Southern Miaoli New Immigrant Family Service Center will host the "New Immigrant Entrepreneurial Success Stories Sharing" event in celebration of International Women’s Day. The event will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Southern Miaoli New Immigrant Family Service Center  (No. 553, Zizhi Road, Miaoli City). Our new immigrant friends are encouraged to join, learn, and exchange experiences as they embark on new career opportunities.

To help new immigrants integrate into local society and enhance their participation in community life, the Indigenous Peoples and Ethnic Group Development Department of the Miaoli County Government has established New Immigrant Family Service Centers in both the Southern and Northern Miaoli districts. These centers provide a range of services, including home visits, family activities, adaptation assistance, interpretation services, and welfare consultations. In 2025, the Southern Miaoli New Immigrant Family Service Center will be operated by the Miaoli County Toufen Taiwan Youth Gambo Association, serving nine townships, including Miaoli City, Houlong Township, Touwu Township, Gongguan Township, Xihu Township, Tongluo Township, Sanyi Township, Tongxiao Township, and Yuanli Township. To increase awareness of the center’s services, this event will be held on International Women’s Day, featuring a special session with the Miaoli County Specialized Operation Brigade, National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior, where attendees will receive information on their rights as new immigrants in Taiwan. Additionally, Love Fang, a new immigrant from Indonesia, will share her inspiring journey of adapting to life in Taiwan and achieving entrepreneurial success. Through her experience-sharing, the event aims to empower new immigrants to overcome career challenges, boost their confidence, and establish a stable and fulfilling life in Taiwan.

Love Fang is Taiwan’s first new immigrant actress to win the Golden Bell Award for Best Actress. She has starred in numerous television and film productions and has hosted programs documenting cross-cultural marriages across Taiwan. In addition to her acting career, she has co-founded an Indonesian-style online pastry business with her sister, turning her passion into another successful career. Love Fang will share her personal journey at this event, offering career insights and advice to fellow newcomers. She will also teach participants how to incorporate cultural elements into product branding, design marketing campaigns, and utilize digital marketing platforms for promotion. By enhancing their competitiveness in the job market, participants can better prepare for their future careers, realize their self-worth, and take control of their own lives.

New immigrant friends interested in this event are encouraged to sign up quickly! As a special treat, Love Fang will also be offering samples of her handcrafted pastries, ensuring that attendees leave with not only valuable knowledge but also delightful treats.
