  1. To encourage particular candidates to register for the Technician Certification and Licensing Test as well as to cooperate with the promotion of “The New Southbound Policy”, the Ministry of Labor, since January 1, 2017, has relaxed the subsidy restriction of specific candidates’ qualification registration for the Technician Certification and Licensing test. Foreigners or People of the Mainland China Area who are married to Taiwanese citizens and have household registration and have acquired residency permission (if meeting the subsidy qualifications for Technician Certification and Licensing test) can apply for a fee subsidy by regulations when registering for the test.
  2. The Ministry of Labor reminds new residents that those who are qualified for the subsidy are required to submit a subsidy application form for specific candidates when registering for the test. Once the qualification is verified, they will be exempt from the test fee for academic subjects and skill subjects, and the verification fee of registration, qualification, and license. Each category of subsidy can be applied for three times. The subsidy for the same occupation/ level can be applied for only once.
