Assistance in Employment Counseling

  • Tittle: Prenantal Exams are not deemed as sick leave. Employees in Taiwan are entitled to take maternity leave before/after the birth of their child regardless of nationality
  • UpdateDate: 2023.04.10
Whether you’re from Taiwan, a new resident, or a migrant worker, those who work in Taiwan, regardless of their nationality and job field, are protected by the Act of Gender Equality in Employment, which allows pregnant women to avail of relevant services during pregnancy and after their child is born. Employers may not refuse the employee's application for maternity leave, nor include maternity leave when assessing job performance or considering a bonus.
