  • Tittle: Voices United New Immigrant Broadcasting Host Training
  • UpdateDate: 2025.09.11

To promote multicultural exchange and encourage self-expression among new immigrants, the Miaoli County Northern Miaoli New Immigrant Family Service Center is launching the “New Immigrant Broadcasting Host Training” program in September 2025. This course is designed to help new immigrants acquire professional broadcasting skills and become storytellers across cultures.

The training covers a wide range of topics, including voice expression and delivery, program planning and design, hosting techniques, and practical recording exercises. Participants will also explore the production of podcasts, one of today’s most popular media platforms. Professional radio hosts and media practitioners have been invited to share their insights, guiding learners step by step from theory to practice and helping them master essential broadcasting and new media skills. Through systematic training, new immigrants will not only strengthen their language expression and stage confidence, but also gain the ability to share multicultural stories through radio and podcasts. This program aspires to transform participants into cultural bridges, connecting local communities with their homelands.

Radio remains a vital medium for community connection. Through such events, we hope to nurture new immigrant hosts who embody both professional expertise and cultural sensitivity, and who may in the future contribute to community radio stations and public broadcasting, ensuring that the diverse voices of new immigrants are heard.
