To
promote multicultural exchange and inter-ethnic integration, the New Immigrant
Family Service Center of the Northern Miaoli District recently organized the
"Lokah! A Fun-filled Tribal Exploration and Cultural Integration and
Inclusion" event. New immigrant families, parents and children, and
community members are invited to visit a tribal village. Through fruit picking,
guided cultural tours, and interactive exchanges, participants can experience
the charm of indigenous culture and develop a more comprehensive understanding
of and emotional connection with each other's cultures.
With "cultural integration and
inclusion" as the core theme, the experience of picking local specialty
fruits has been arranged for participants so that children and adults can get
close to nature, learn about eco-friendly farming, and gain a deeper
understanding of tribal life and culture. Members of the tribe will share
traditional cultural stories, life wisdom, and greetings in their native
language, helping visitors to further understand the connotations and values
of indigenous culture in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
The New Immigrant Family Service
Center of the Northern Miaoli District is holding the "Lokah! A Fun-filled
Tribal Exploration and Cultural Integration and Inclusion" event on June
13th (Saturday) from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The aim of the event is to encourage
different ethnic groups to get to know, understand, and respect each other
through multicultural experiences, and provide a forum as a friendly and
inclusive exchange platform. Cultural exchange is not just about getting to
know each other; it is an important force for mutual companionship and support.
Eligible new
immigrant families are most welcome to register for this event. Places are
limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. To register,
please contact Social Worker Cheng on 037-634428.
