  • Tittle: 2022 Multiple Cultures & Family Gathering for New Residents – Gather and chat with fellow new residents
  • UpdateDate: 2022.08.03

The Service Center for New Immigrant Families is holding the “2022 Multiple Cultures & Family Gathering for New Residents – Gather and chat with fellow new residents” at Shui-yuan Village Community Activity Center, Miaoli City, on Saturday, August 27, from 09:30 to 14:00. All new resident families in Miaoli County are welcome to join, enjoy gourmet food from various countries, and have a chat with fellow new residents and feel like part of the community.

New female residents typically have to take care of their families and are busy with household chores after arriving in Taiwan. They may live away from neighbors and may not be able to afford trips home to visit family. Further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, many new residents will feel homesick after arriving here.

The Service Center for New Immigrant Families provides a warm and safe space where new residents can discuss their feelings and get assistance for all kinds of daily thing. We hope that new residents think of the Center as an extended family. We particularly hope that this event will encourage new female residents to feel welcome and make friendships with other people in similar situations. Although many people cannot travel home, there is a lot of care and support in the Center and the wider community in Taiwan to help make people feel at home.

We invite residents to join the event with their family and interact with other new resident families. Places are limited so sign up today to avoid disappointment. Call 037-277011 or 037-277017 for more information.
