Assistance in Children's Education

To provide new immigrants with the opportunity to learn parenting strategies and enhance their parenting knowledge for the purpose of improving family interaction and intimacy, the New Immigrant Family Service Center of Miaobei District is hosting new immigrant parent-child interaction events that integrate activities related to such Taiwanese festivals and customs as the Dragon Boat Festival, Chinese Valentine’s Day, and the Moon Festival. These events aim to promote the passing down of diverse culture and increase the interaction between new immigrants and their communities, thus encouraging new immigrants to share the warm and interesting Taiwanese culture with their family members through parent-child interaction.

《Event Dates and Locations》

First Session – Dragon Boat Festival Sachet Exhibition: June 15, 2018 (Friday), 17:30-21:30, Touwu Junior High School

Second Session – Chinese Valentine’s Romantic Love of Butterfly Pea Flowers: August 17, 2018 (Friday), 17:30-21:30, Shitan Elementary School       

Third Session – Moon Cakes for the Moon Festival: September 21, 2018 (Friday), 17:30-21:30, Zaoqiao Elementary School

  These events are free for new immigrants. All new immigrants and their family members who have their household registration in Miaoli County are welcome to register.
