New Immigrant females arriving in Taiwan to live can face considerable challenges to their lifestyle, interpersonal relationships, and family management. In addition to their unfamiliarity with the Chinese language, new immigrant females may not have enough resources and knowledge for parenting. All of these problems can easily cause pressure and frustration to them, which makes it even more important to create a channel to provide some relief.

   This group is led by professional instructors who provide correct parenting knowledge, and through hands-on activities, new immigrants can learn to interact with their children and thereby improve their parenting skills and parent-child interactions to stabilize their family situation. In addition, learning in a group facilitates group members to experience personal growth and share their stories of their interaction with their children. The group learning helps new immigrants release their stress and learn multiple lifestyle habits, which improves their ability to manage their family and use community resources as a way to promote family harmony.

2st Session – Meet with Happiness: July 24, 2018 (Tuesday), 17:30 – 21:30 at Toufen Elementary School

3rd Session – Meet with Happiness: August 21, 2018 (Tuesday), 17:30 – 21:30 at Rainbow House (Classroom at the Center)

This event provides free admission to new immigrants. New immigrants and their family members who have household registration in Miaoli County are welcome to sign up.
