To alleviate the financial burden on citizens who rent houses, the Miaoli County Government has assisted the National Land Management Agency, MOI, in promoting the “$30 Billion Rent Subsidy Expansion Program Granted by the Central Government”. Recently, we’ve been receiving numerous inquiries from the public, asking whether the application period for the rent subsidy program concluded on December 31, 2023. In fact, applications for the“$30 Billion Rent Subsidy Expansion Program Granted by the Central Government” in 2023-2024 are accepted from July 3, 2023, to December 31, 2024, on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition to the online application, individuals with a need for rental assistance can also visit the Economic Development Department of the nearest County Government. They should bring their ID card, NHI card, and required documents (Rental Housing Contract, bankbook, etc.). The underprivileged, without an identity certificate, do not need to attach additional proof. As of now, the number of households in Miaoli County that have applied has reached 6,326. The officers are diligently working to review the applications. The application cases submitted in November 2023 are being reviewed at the moment. If additional documents are required during the review, the applicant will be notified by phone, email, text message, or an official letter. We kindly request applicants to pay attention to these notifications. Upon approval by the National Land Management Agency, an official letter will be issued to inform the applicant, and the subsidy will be granted. The subsidized fund will be applied to the date of application.
