The 2024 Annual Interpreter Training Course will be held to strengthen the professional capabilities of interpreters in the nation. Details are as follows:

I.           Course Schedule:

May 18, 2024 (Saturday) from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM

May 19, 2024 (Sunday) from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM

II.         Location:3rd Floor Auditorium, Miaoli County Police Bureau (No. 2, Fuqian Road, Miaoli City, Miaoli County)

III.      Course Content and Duration:

(1)   Investigation Procedures for Foreign-Related Cases: 3 hours

(2)   Legal Knowledge: 2 hours

(3)   Interpreter Ethics and Skills: 4 hours

(4)   Introduction to Police Operations and Legal Terminology: 2 hours

(5)   Intercultural Sensitivity Issues and Interpreter Psychological Care: 2 hours

IV.       Training Participants:Individuals holding valid residence permits in our country who are proficient in Chinese and languages of Southeast Asian countries or other foreign languages, and legally permitted to work as interpreters within our country's borders.

V.          Number of Trainees:30 (first-come, first-served basis)
