To help young
people enhance their job skills and gain practical workplace experience, the
Ministry of Labor has introduced an employment initiative targeting youth aged
15 to 29 who lack work experience or professional expertise. The program
encourages companies to provide on-the-job training aligned with specific job
roles, lasting from three to six months, under a "hire first, train
later" model. Over the past three years, the program has seen an annual
average of approximately 2,500 participating companies and has provided
training opportunities to around 14,000 young individuals each year.
The program accepts applications year-round, with employers receiving up
to NT$54,000 in training subsidies per trainee. This initiative helps
businesses address talent needs while supporting young people in developing
professional skills and entering the workforce more effectively. Interested
companies or young jobseekers are invited to visit the Youth Vocational
Training Resource Portal (https://ttms.etraining.gov.tw/eYVTR/Main/Index1) for
more information or call the toll-free service line at 0800-777-888 for
assistance.
