The 2026 College Female Student
Leadership Training Camp will be held from July to August in the northern,
central, and southern regions of Taiwan. The camp features an intensive three-day,
two-night training and is limited to 80 participants per session. Participants
will visit benchmark companies, and engage in in-depth dialogues with female
role models from various fields. President Tsai Ing-wen and Vice President
Hsiao Bi-khim attended the Taiwanese Girls' Day of Exchange the past two years
and have offered encouragement and inspired participants to reflect on
leadership principles.
Building on the strong momentum from last
year's female empowerment initiative, the Women's Training Camp, which is
organized by the Youth Development Administration of the Ministry of Education,
is now in its 23rd year rotation. Having trained over 6,000 participants to
date, the camp this year will focus on the theme of "Young People Taking Flight,
Girls Are Leading the Way." The camp is designed to encourage participants
to perceive their lives as a journey and to shine with their own unique
confidence and brilliance. We also call on promising female college graduates
nationwide to step out of their comfort zones and collectively define the
influence of a new generation of women as they lead a hopeful future.
The training program this year features
six carefully crafted core course modules, and the curriculum covers team and
consensus-building, emotional management and interpersonal skills, problem
analysis and crisis management, life design and blueprint planning, social
innovation and international perspectives, and gender awareness and career
development. Through in-depth discussions and interactive exercises on these
topics, participants can expect to develop their practical communication, decision-making,
risk management, and sustainable thinking skills, as they lay a solid
foundation for future leadership.
Included among the sessions,
the "Women's
Model Salon" – a highly praised program among past participants –
continues to invite women from atypical career backgrounds to share their
experiences. Recent examples include dog handlers who safeguard national
security, fighter jet maintenance officers who defend airspace, bomb disposal
investigators who combat crime, and chief officers of CPC Corporation's fleet.
Through their professional backgrounds and career development, these model
leaders have helped participants to break down gender stereotypes and explore
new career possibilities. The program also features visits by female mentors
from technology companies, hospitality groups, and major food manufacturers so
participants can witness the resilience of outstanding female leaders as they
overcome obstacles and thus be inspired to bravely embark on a life without
limits.
The Youth Development Administration of
the Ministry of Education cordially invites female college students under the
age of 30 to participate. To remove barriers to participation, the registration
fee has been waived so the camp is completely free for the three days and two
nights that it is being held. Registration is open from now until May 21, 2026.
