The Service Center for New Immigrant Families of Miaoli County is hosting the "2022 Caring for New Residents – Lecture on Empowerment and Gender Equality Promotion – A Home for Everyone: Traditional Customs and Culture” at Shuiyuan Village Community Center in Miaoli City on August 20, and on the 2nd floor of Pâtisserie Tommy on August 21, 2022. We invite parents and children of new resident families in Miaoli County to the lecture!

We have invited professional lecturers to introduce gender equality to new residents and inform them that it's not just a slogan. The lecturers will also lead the participants to explore the differences of various traditional customs in an interesting, fun way, in addition to promoting the domestic division of labor so gender equality can be implemented in new resident families. Traditional customs and cultures will also be discussed, including traditional marriage customs and ceremonies, the responsibility of the daughter-in-law, and the legend of female ghosts to discuss the domestic division of labor. The lecturer will also lead the participants to share their thoughts, and encourage more interaction among new resident families so they feel greater supported. The number of places is limited. Please call 037-277011, 037-277017 for registration details.
