As the pace of
modern life continues to accelerate, many people find themselves under immense
pressure from work, family, and social commitments. For women from immigrant backgrounds,
the challenge of adapting to a completely new environment can be especially
overwhelming, often leading to both physical and emotional exhaustion. To help ease
stress and support emotional well-being, aromatherapy—a natural and gentle form
of healing—is increasingly becoming a preferred method of relaxation for many. Aromatherapy
uses scents and active ingredients of natural plant essences to help regulate
the body and mind. Common essential oils such as lavender, ylang-ylang, lemon,
and neroli have proven effective in relaxing the body, uplifting mood, boosting
immunity, and ultimately releasing built-up stress. For new immigrants,
aromatherapy not only helps relieve the pressures of daily life but also supports
them in finding a sense of inner balance, fostering well-being and harmony for
both body and mind.
The Northern
Miaoli New Immigrant Family Service Center will host “Aromatherapy Secrets:
Balance and Harmony for Mind, Body, and Spirit” on Saturday, April 19th, from
9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. This event offers more than practical training in
essential oil techniques—it’s also a meaningful opportunity for newcomers to receive
cultural care and emotional support in a welcoming environment.
Through
aromatherapy, participants can learn to relax, build confidence, and explore practical
ways to cope with life’s pressures and challenges together, ultimately finding
their own balance and inner strength.
Newcomers to Taiwan are
warmly invited to join this event and register promptly! Spots are limited and
will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, please contact
Social Worker Zheng at 037-634428.
