  • Tittle: Timely Filial Piety Nominations for the 2025 Exemplary Filial Piety Awards Are Now Open
  • UpdateDate: 2025.03.25

The 2025 National Exemplary Filial Piety Selection Event has begun! To promote filial piety and reward exemplary acts of filial devotion, the Ministry of the Interior organizes this annual event, inviting everyone to share heartwarming stories of filial piety. From now until March 10, nominations can be submitted to the township (town, city, district) office, the school, or organization where the nominee is located. Local governments will conduct preliminary selections by April 21, after which the Ministry of the Interior will hold a final selection to choose 30 national exemplary filial piety models.

The Ministry of the Interior stated that the government has long been committed to promoting filial piety, actively discovering and recognizing acts of filial devotion from all corners of society. The aim is to spread a positive and uplifting spirit, encouraging the people to practice filial piety, so that it originates from the heart and creates a ripple of goodness from within, contributing to a warm and harmonious society. In response to changes in social dynamics, this year's selection is divided into five categories: "Long-term Caregivers," "Effective Resource Utilizers," "Assistance Achievers," "Collaborative Effort," and "Visible Filial Piety." These categories aim to present the diverse forms of filial piety. The selected models will be honored at a later date and will receive a trophy and a cash prize of NT$50,000. For those from low-income or disadvantaged families, an additional NT$30,000 grant will be provided.

The Ministry of the Interior emphasized that the presence of family members is an important force in stabilizing the family, and we should cherish the time spent with family during the Lunar New Year. It is an opportunity to practice filial piety in a timely manner and work together to create moments filled with love and care. This will allow the virtue of filial piety to continue in every family and take root in the hearts of individuals.
