  • Tittle: Expand Students Global Perspectives Registration for the 2025 Diplomatic Young Ambassadors - English Seed Team Training Camp is Now Open!
  • UpdateDate: 2025.03.25

To cultivate the international perspectives and cross-cultural communication skills of Taiwanese youth, the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is hosting the "2025 Diplomatic Young Ambassadors - English Seed Team Training Camp," which will open for registration on March 15, 2025. Participants will have the opportunity to represent Taiwan in overseas visits, experiencing international affairs and diplomatic practices firsthand. Students in the first and second year of high school, vocational school, or the first to third year of five-year junior colleges, as well as students participating in non-school-based experimental education at the senior secondary education level, are encouraged to apply.

The National Education Department explained that the training camp is scheduled to be held in July across three regions—north, central, and south—for a duration of 5 days and 4 nights. The curriculum will cover four major areas: English communication skills, diplomatic affairs and international current events, cross-cultural communication, and international exchange. Experts in diplomacy and international affairs will be invited to interact with the participants and share firsthand international experiences. Through group discussions, reading and discussing international current events, and presenting their findings, participants will develop international communication skills and critical thinking abilities. After the training camp, 18 outstanding participants will be selected from each region to visit overseas in August 2025, where they will engage in exchanges with local government agencies, Taiwan's overseas missions, and schools. Participants will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of different countries' cultures and diplomatic operations, enhancing their international mobility and global competitiveness.

In addition, to ensure the effectiveness of participants' learning during the training camp, recruitment of guidance teachers will also take place. Guidance teachers will be responsible for providing life counseling and learning support for the participants, and they will also have the opportunity to join the overseas visit in August. Teachers who are interested in promoting international education are encouraged to actively participate.

The National Education Department stated that the Diplomatic Young Ambassadors program was previously held as a competition. This year, it is being transformed into a camp format for the first time, with the aim of deepening students' understanding of international affairs through immersive learning and practical experiences. The program seeks to expand learning opportunities for participating students. All eligible students nationwide are encouraged to actively apply.
