▲ Event Details:
This workshop aims to explore the
self-identity of Southeast Asian new immigrant mothers and their
second-generation teenagers living in Taiwan, aiming to clarify the role of
technology in shaping self-identity and design technology in empowering new
immigrant mothers while supporting their second-generation teenagers. The
research will approach this from the perspective of Southeast Asian new
immigrants' technology usage, cultural background, and life experiences. Using
a "female-centered human-computer interaction" design framework and
considering "intersectionality," the goal is to develop a
technological support program for Southeast Asian new immigrant families in
Taiwan to empower mothers and help the second generation establish their self-identity.
