To improve new
immigrants' physical and mental health and help them integrate into society, the
Miaonan District Family Service Center for New Immigrants, Miaoli County, is
holding the "A Warm Encounter: Easy Living to Comfort New Immigrants'
Body, Mind, and Spirit" event from 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on June 28 and
June 29. Various relaxation courses, including hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, and
mindful emotions practice, will be help during this event, leading participants
to self-understanding, self-confidence, and on a path to a healthier and
happier life.
In the process of
integrating into Taiwanese society, newcomers are usually faced with challenges
such as language barriers, cultural differences, family pressure, and shifting identities,
which can easily impact wellbeing and lead to loneliness, anxiety, or low
self-worth, affecting their physical and mental health. To assist new
immigrants in adapting to their new lives and improving the body, mind and spirit
balance, the center has designed this stress relief and healing course. The
activity will be conducted by two professional lecturers with qualifications in
American naturopathy and international hydrotherapy.
It starts with a gentle spiritual dialogue
combined with relaxation courses such as hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, and art/drawing
to help participants release stress and relax their minds and bodies. Next,
through the practice of emotional management and self-awareness, participants
will learn to explore their inner needs and to express emotions positively in
their daily lives to establish good relationships and interactions with others.
New immigrants who are interested in this activity are welcome to sign
up to experience an easier way to live and body and mind healing. Places are
allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to 10 new immigrants and
their family members.
